I'll tell you that mine started yesterday, Monday, with a lot of activity from early on. The weather was excellent, one of those days that fills you with energy as soon as you open your eyes. The sky was so intensely blue that just looking at it gave a feeling of deep peace. It's amazing how good weather can influence our mood so much.
Una nueva semana de trabajo comienza, y les deseo de corazón que sea muy productiva. Cada semana es una nueva oportunidad para crecer, aprender algo nuevo y acercarnos un poco más a nuestras metas, así que es bueno tener ánimo y buena energía para todos.
Les cuento que la mía comenzó ayer lunes con mucha actividad desde temprano. El clima estaba excelente, de esos días que te llenan de energía apenas abres los ojos. El cielo tenía un azul tan intenso que de solo mirarlo daba una sensación de paz profunda. Es increíble cómo un buen clima puede influir tanto en nuestro estado de ánimo.
I left home early to carry out my work routine at the Sunsol Unik hotel. This week, controls will be more intense because several tourists are expected to arrive, and there is also a bit of flu going around due to the humidity. In these cases, no control is too much when you want to offer quality service. Prevention and attention to detail are essential to ensure the well-being of everyone, both staff and guests.
When I arrived at the hotel, I carried out my routine as usual, with the same commitment and dedication as always. Our team works diligently to ensure that everything is impeccable, because we know that this is the company's best calling card. Every detail speaks to who we are and the respect we have for our visitors.
Salí temprano de casa para cumplir con mi rutina de trabajo en el hotel Sunsol Unik. Esta semana los controles serán más intensos porque se espera la llegada de varios turistas, y además hay un poco de gripe circulando debido a la humedad. En estos casos, todo control es poco cuando se quiere ofrecer un servicio de calidad. La prevención y la atención al detalle son fundamentales para garantizar el bienestar de todos, tanto del personal como de los huéspedes.
Al llegar al hotel, realicé toda mi rutina como de costumbre, con el mismo compromiso y dedicación de siempre. En nuestro equipo, trabajamos con esmero para que todo esté impecable, porque sabemos que esa es la mejor tarjeta de presentación de la compañía. Cada detalle cuidado, habla de quiénes somos y del respeto que tenemos por quienes nos visitan.
At the end of the day, my husband picked me up. We had to buy food for our chickens and for the new chicks that are hatching at home. I'll tell you more about that another time, because it's a story that deserves its own space. But I can tell you that we are very excited about this new stage in our little farm.
Since it was already past lunchtime, we decided to stop for a bite to eat at a place on 31 de Julio Avenue in the Guatamare neighborhood. My husband took me to eat cachapa with cheese, one of our shared pleasures. I love it, but he is fascinated by it. It's funny, because I had never tried this dish in my homeland; in fact, I don't think it existed, at least not in the city where I grew up. It was here in Venezuela that I discovered it, and since then it has become one of my favorites.
Cachapa is a delicacy made with sweet corn and served with plenty of cheese, which I love. The combination of the natural sweetness of the corn with the salty flavor of the cheese is simply perfect. It's a simple dish, but full of flavor and tradition. We really enjoyed that moment together, sharing food and conversation.
Al terminar la jornada, mi esposo pasó por mí. Teníamos pendiente comprar alimento para nuestras gallinas y para los nuevos pollitos que están naciendo en casa. De eso les hablaré con más detalle en otra ocasión, porque es una historia que merece su propio espacio. Pero les adelanto que estamos muy emocionados con esta nueva etapa en nuestro pequeño criadero.
Como ya era pasada la hora del almuerzo, decidimos parar a comer algo en una parada que hay en la avenida 31 de julio en el sector guatamare. Mi esposo me llevó a comer cachapa con queso, uno de nuestros placeres compartidos. A mí me encanta, pero a él le fascina. Es curioso, porque en mi tierra natal nunca había probado este plato; de hecho, no creo que existiera, al menos no en la ciudad donde crecí. Fue aquí en Venezuela donde lo descubrí, y desde entonces se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos.
La cachapa es una delicia hecha con maíz tierno, y se sirve con abundante queso, que es algo que me encanta. La combinación del dulzor natural del maíz con el sabor salado del queso es simplemente perfecta. Es un plato sencillo, pero lleno de sabor y tradición. Disfrutamos mucho ese momento juntos, compartiendo comida y conversación.
After lunch, we continued on our way to the farm supply store to buy bird feed. However, I was a little frustrated to learn that the brand of feed we usually use had not arrived. I had to buy some of another brand so we could wait the three days it takes for the truck to arrive from the mainland. These are some of the inconveniences that can happen here on the island, but I try not to let them affect me too much. I learn from every mistake, and now I will take other measures to prevent this from happening again. I don't like to change my birds' feed because I know it can affect their health, growth, and production.
Después de comer, seguimos nuestro camino hacia la agropecuaria para comprar el alimento de las aves. Sin embargo, me sentí un poco frustrada al enterarme de que la marca de alimento que usamos habitualmente no había llegado. Tuve que llevar un poco de otra marca para poder esperar los tres días que tarda en llegar el camión desde tierra firme. Estos son algunos de los inconvenientes que pueden ocurrir aquí en la isla, pero trato de no dejarme afectar demasiado. De cada desacierto saco una experiencia, y ahora tomaré otras medidas para que esto no vuelva a ocurrir. No me gusta cambiarle el alimento a mis aves, porque sé que eso puede afectar su salud, su crecimiento y producción.
With the temporary solution in hand, we returned home calmly, enjoying the scenery and the fresh air. That's how everyday life is, full of unexpected events, but also beautiful moments if you know how to look closely. I focus on the positive aspects of the day, on what went well, on what I learned.
