Cold breeze, the sound of the rain accompanied by my favorite songs, and then a good manhwa to read. Hahhh! This is the life! I just hope this rain won't cause a flood though, that would be too scary.
How's the weather in your area? To be honest, I just want to bum around and do nothing today. I am too lazy to move! Haha. But lucky me! Because I don't have to go to the market today. I didn't prepare our lunch too because Mommy D took over the kitchen for today! Lucky ヽ(｡◕o◕｡)ﾉ. Heh
And so for today's lunch, we had Monggo't Balatong. Mommy F bought a fresh Okra the other day and Mommy D decided to mix it here. It also has leftovers chicken from yesterday's lunch, as you can see it even has pieces of carrots in there. This dish is really perfect for this kind of weather. I enjoyed it with steamed white rice. I also craved for egg so I boiled some of it to paired with this. I was so full after eating my lunch.
You know, the rain can really enhance my appetite too. Am I the only one? Like i'm cold, and instead if thinking of wearing a jacket, here I am thinking for a foods that I could snack on.
Andhinking about food now, I am in regret because I didn't go to the market today. Whenever I visit the market, I make sure to buy bread for our merienda, sometimes i include the one I can have in the morning for breakfast. But now my food jar are all empty. I already had the Monggo Bread this morning for breakfast ⊙﹏⊙ and that's the last, huhu. Seeing this glass with all the bread is making me crave for it right now.
This! This is what I need in this cold weather right now! But i am too lazy to go outside. I don't want to walk and I plan to just lie on my bed. But the sight of this and thinking that it would go well with coffee or milk is what's pushing me to go out. Then I remember we actually have a Pandesal on Wheel a few steps away from home. They stop there every morning and 3 in the afternoon ＼(^o^)／.
So I went there, bought 5 pieces of cheesy pandesal and requested the toasted one.
I got what I wish for ♪ \(^ω^\ ), ehehe. Happy me! In our house, toasted bread us what we always want. We live a crunchy texture of a bread, it's more amazing if the texture inside is softer, that's the perfect combo we all love.
There it is, it has small cheese inside, I love that they use Eden Cheese, which is salty and really perfect for bread. I don't like it when a cheese is on the sweet side, how about you?
At first I want hot milk To pair with my hot pandesal. But I remember I still have coffee in my food jar. But I might have a hard sleeping tonight so I chose chocolate drink to pair with it ♪┌|∵|┘♪. It's the best! I love it! I feel warm after eating and drinking my hot chocolate. As for the oldies, they had their merienda a little earlier, they had coffee and crackers, they are actually asking me to eat the crackers and drink coffee with them but i'm still full that time. I had my afternoon merienda at 3:20 while they had theirs at 2:40 (◍•ᴗ•◍).
But well, we all enjoy our afternoon snacks, that's for sure. Mommy F even said that this kind of merienda, you know, with a cup if coffee is really perfect during rainy days, which I agreed on (＾∇＾)ﾉ♪
