Yesterday was a special day that marked my week, and I want to share it with the Dayli Blog community. Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, my nephew and I decided to visit the famous 100 Bridge in Upper Havana. This place is known by Cubans as the place where "if you're looking for something you can't easily find, go to the 100 Bridge, it's sure to appear."

Aprovechando el buen tiempo, mi sobrino y yo decidimos visitar el famoso Puente 100 en la Habana Alta. Este lugar es conocido por los cubanos como el lugar donde "si buscas algo difícil de encontrar, ve al Puente 100, seguro que aparece".
The 100 Bridge is a key intersection in Havana. Under the bridge, a multitude of individual sales outlets transform the place into a veritable human anthill. The voices of the vendors intertwine, advertising all kinds of goods. It's a chaotic but fascinating space, where the energy and diversity create a unique experience that can be a bit dizzying.

Our visit had several objectives, but the main one was to find a gift for my husband, whose birthday was that day. I also needed to buy some things for the house. We took advantage of the trip to take a motorcycle ride along Rancho Boyeros Avenue, enjoying the clear blue sky with white clouds and the bright sun illuminating the road.

Upon arriving at the market, we parked the motorcycle and immersed ourselves in this unique world. The stalls were packed with all kinds of products, and the variety was astonishing. It took us half a day to explore the place, observing every detail and making our purchases. Finally, I managed to find a perfect wallet for my husband. I also bought a bathroom organizer that, as soon as I got home, I couldn't resist putting together immediately. My nephew, for his part, chose a sturdy screwdriver set, ideal as a gift for my husband, knowing that there's no better gift for a mechanic than a useful tool for his job.
Al llegar al mercado, aparcamos la moto y nos sumergimos en este mundo único. Los puestos estaban repletos de todo tipo de productos, y la variedad era asombrosa. Nos llevó medio día explorar el lugar, observando cada detalle y haciendo nuestras compras. Finalmente, conseguí la cartera perfecta para mi marido. También compré un organizador de baño que, en cuanto llegué a casa, no pude resistirme a armar de inmediato. Mi sobrino, por su parte, eligió un robusto juego de destornilladores, ideal como regalo para mi marido, sabiendo que no hay mejor regalo para un mecánico que una herramienta útil para su trabajo.
After so much walking and feeling a little dizzy from the hustle and bustle of the market, we headed back home along Rancho Boyeros Avenue. Along the way, we were able to see the illuminated fountain, an iconic landmark in Havana. From there, a large Cuban flag fluttered, offering a beautiful view.
Después de tanto caminar y sentirnos un poco mareados por el bullicio del mercado, regresamos a casa por la avenida Rancho Boyeros. De camino, pudimos ver la fuente iluminada, un lugar emblemático de La Habana. Desde allí, ondeaba una gran bandera cubana, ofreciendo una hermosa vista.
We continued our walk through one of the avenue's most attractive stretches, surrounded by numerous palm trees that, under the sunlight, highlighted its unique beauty. In my opinion, this part of the route is the most charming and a delight to the eye.
Continuamos nuestro paseo por uno de los tramos más atractivos de la avenida, rodeado de numerosas palmeras que, bajo la luz del sol, realzaban su singular belleza. En mi opinión, esta parte del recorrido es la más encantadora y un deleite para la vista.
It was an intense day, but full of wonderful moments, which I thoroughly enjoyed in the company of my nephew. In the end, we ended the day feeling satisfied that we had found the perfect gift for my husband on his special day.
