Pleasant day to everyone here! I’d like to share my story about my quick visit with my former team from my previous job. This visit was actually unexpected, and only a few people knew I was coming.
It was a Monday—the start of the week when I decided to drop by since I was already out for personal errands. After finishing what I needed to do, I didn’t want to go home yet, so I tried asking some friends if they were available. Most couldn’t make it because it was a workday. Then I decided to message some of my previous workmates, and luckily, a few replied. My former boss even responded to my Instagram story, so we made plans that same day.
Unexpectedly, I ended up visiting the office because my other teammate and I planned to have lunch together afterward.
When I arrived, I stayed downstairs for a while since they were still having a department meeting. While waiting, I noticed the Christmas decorations on the big red circle—the symbol of TV5, one of the TV networks in the Philippines. They decorate this area every year, and they even shoot their Christmas station ID here.
What really caught my attention was the Freedom Board, where people can write their wishes for Christmas. I had fun reading everything on it because the messages were a mix of emotions—some were heartfelt and serious, while others were funny but still meaningful.
After their meeting ended, I decided to go up to the 10th floor because everyone was waiting for me. When I got there, I was greeted with warm smiles, hugs, and a few surprised reactions—they didn’t expect my visit. It’s always fun seeing them and catching up.
After a short chat, Hervie and I headed back down to have lunch. The restaurant, Railey’s, is just at the ground floor of the building. We had such a great time talking about random things and enjoying our food. It felt nice to have those fun conversations again.
After spending time with them, my other friends on the 3rd floor also wanted to see me and asked me to drop by their office. So after a few hours with my team and my former boss, I decided to head down to the 3rd floor to visit them as well. I stayed for a while in Sir J’s room, which always feels like home. He has a fridge, a massage chair, a coffee machine, and snacks—no wonder people love hanging out there. This is exactly what we used to do during our breaks before. It was fun, and I’m happy I got to experience it again with them.
After having a good and fun conversation with them, they told me to visit again soon! This is what I love about them—they always welcome me warmly and make time for me whenever I’m there. I’m also glad that they weren’t too busy that day, so the timing of my visit was perfect.
