¡Hola Hola gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Hoy voy a compartir con ustedes todo el proceso para sacar el certificado de salud y/o el de manipulación de alimentos en Venezuela, en caso de que tal como yo (que me lo solicitaron del trabajo) lo necesiten, espero que esta información sea de mucha utilidad para ustedes 😉.
Hello internet people, how are you? Today I'm going to share with you the whole process to get the health certificate and/or food handling certificate in Venezuela, in case like me (who was asked for it from work) you need it, I hope this information will be very useful for you 😉
En primer lugar debes ingresar en la página web de Insalud (el sitio en línea del Ministerio de Salud) Posteriormente ubica el cursor en la parte donde dice "Citas en línea". Automáticamente se desplegará una ventana con varias opciones, elige donde dice "Emisión de citas" para concertar la tuya.
First you must access the Insalud web page (the online site of the Ministry of Health). Then place the cursor on the part where it says “Online Appointments”. A window will automatically pop up with several options, choose where it says “Emission of appointments” to make your appointment.

Después haz click en "siguiente" eso te conducirá a una planilla virtual que debes llenar con tus datos personales. Luego, donde dice "Seleccionar valor" se desplegará una ventana, y ahí debes elegir el documento que necesitas, en mi caso certificado médico sanitario y manipulación de alimentos. En la parte donde dice "centro" se desplegará una ventana con todos los centros de salud más cercanos a tu residencia, debes elegir uno.
Then click on “next” that will take you to a virtual form that you must fill in with your personal data. Then, where it says “Select value” a window will pop up, and there you must choose the document you need, in my case sanitary medical certificate and food handling. In the part where it says “center” a window will be displayed with all the health centers closest to your residence, you must choose one.

Después de unos minutos la página emitirá tu documento con tus datos personales (nombres, apellidos, edad y número de cédula de identificación) Además también aparece la fecha que te asignaron para que acudas a tu cita, en mi caso fue el día 18/03/2025. Debes imprimir ese documento y realizarte algunos análisis médicos como heces, VDRL y Exhudado mucofaringeo (este último para el caso del certificado de manipulación de alimentos).
After a few minutes the page will issue your document with your personal information (name, surname, age and identification card number) and the date assigned for you to go to your appointment, in my case it was 03/18/2025. You must print this document and take some medical tests such as stool, VDRL and Mucopharyngeal Exhudate (the latter in the case of the food handling certificate).
Aquí sucedió algo que debes tomar en cuanta y que te lo diré para que sepas qué hacer en caso de que te ocurra. Cuando yo recibí mis análisis todos salieron bien (gracias a Dios) a excepción del análisis de heces, ya que me salió que tenía parásitos y el bioanalista me advirtió que lo más probable era que el médico que fuese a atenderme el día de la cita no me firmaría el certificado, así que hablé con una de mis primas que es médico, le mostré el análisis y le pedí que me prescribiera algo para eliminar los parásitos, ella al verlos me dijo que eso era algo absolutamente normal, que en realidad ese tipo de parásitos lo teníamos todos en el organismo, y que solo los médicos prescribían algo cuando el nivel era muy elevado, de todos modos le pedí que me dijera que debía tomar ya que estaba segura de que no me firmarían el certificado tan solo por ese detalle. Ella me prescribió Metronidazol de 500 mg por cinco días. Segui sus instrucciones al pie de la letra, pero al término del tratamiento cuando volví a hacerme el análisis de heces volvió a marcar que tenía parásito. Así que de todos modos acudí a mi cita el día pautado a ver que tal.
Something happened here that you should take into account and that I will tell you so that you know what to do in case it happens to you. When I received my tests, they all came out fine (thank God) except for the stool analysis, since I had parasites and the bioanalyst warned me that most likely the doctor who was going to see me the day of the appointment would not sign the certificate, so I talked to one of my cousins who is a doctor, I showed her the analysis and asked her to prescribe me something to eliminate the parasites, When she saw them she told me that this was something absolutely normal, that in fact we all had this kind of parasites in our organism, and that only doctors prescribed something when the level was very high, anyway I asked her to tell me what I should take since I was sure that they would not sign the certificate just for that detail. She prescribed Metronidazole 500 mg for five days. I followed her instructions to the letter, but at the end of the treatment when I went back for a stool test it came back that I had a parasite. So I went to my appointment anyway on the scheduled day to see how it went.

Tal como lo esperaba la doctora no quiso firmar mi documento, luego que le expliqué la situación y vio el análisis de Heces, aún así, me dijo que yo no tenía la necesidad de emitir una nueva cita, sino que debía continuar con el tratamiento, volver a realizar el análisis y regresar al centro de salud para que me ella me firmara el documento, así que me alegró saber que no había perdido mi cita y mucho menos el tiempo.
As expected the doctor did not want to sign my document, after I explained the situation and she saw the stool analysis, she still told me that I did not need to make a new appointment, but that I should continue with the treatment, redo the analysis and return to the health center so that she could sign the document, so I was happy to know that I had not lost my appointment and much less time.
