Getting traffic to Hive is easy, I bring several dozen new eyeballs with every comedy video I post. The problem is getting those new eyeballs to sign up, and that's always going to be a problem with a key based system. Most people simply do not have the attention span to deal with our sign up and log in process.

Preach, brother! I've been complaining endlessly about the complexity of the key system and how Hive fails the grandma test for years, since way back in the Steemit days. 99% of potential new users turn away and leave as soon as they come up against that key system. Thank god Blocktrades and those on top are finally addressing this issue and working on light accounts. I have high hopes for light accounts. I just worry that it may be too little too late.
It's never too late, as long as there are people here creating, and we have no shortage of that.
