My brother has been writing his book for over 6 years now due to the amount of research he has had to do. Translating over 30 French books from the 14th century (not 100% sure which century) has taken the time to get the facts correct which is important. I know others would cheat, but he is doing it right.

That is completely different from writing a novel as it can be considered, or it is in fact research. I know how long it takes and how difficult it is to write such a book. I hope he gets to finish it soon.
