THE POWER OF VISION (PART 1)

What is Vision:

As kids, most of us grew up being asked; "what do you want to become in life"
While some of us didn't keep up with the ambition, some went ahead to achieve them. It is very easy to dream these days but how to truly project these dreams into reality is where most of us fall short.

As a business person, no body Will take you seriously if you don't have a business plan, stating clear financial projections. If this has helped businesses grow their capital, why are we not adopting the same strategy in our daily lives?

How many of us still remember our "new year resolutions"? We give up too easily because there is no clear vision to guide our everyday routine.

Habakkuk 2:2 says ; Write the vision and let it be plain upon the tables...

Vision is something we all carry, but we like to think, of it as something so big and scaring that the thought of it, derails us from our path of achieving greatness.

The concept of leadership and followership, is as a result of vision.

When you understand the vision you carry, you don't struggle to lead. Your vision empowers you to become a great leader.

How do I identify my vision?

As simple as the word vision, sounds, how do we truly identify it?

It was Shakespeare who said; To thy own self be true, and Socrates furthered it by saying; man know thy self.
The greatest inventions of man begins with self-discovery.

You need to know what triggers you, makes you happy.

If you mentioned emotional intelligence, halfway into reading this, you're right.

Have you done your SWOT analysis this year?
Remember, you're the CEO of your life and as an executive, how do you make informed decisions, without proper evaluation of the situation?
