Over the years, I have gone through stages and encounters in my life, some of the experiences were quite overwhelming as it is for many. I've had to write several life's examination, some I passed, some I had to repeat repeatedly before excelling and some I am still writing.
There were occasions when it looked as though the hills were getting so hard to climb and the world was crumbling on me. Sometimes it feels as if I would admit defeat. Amazingly, most of these occurred while some thought I was having a smooth sail (someone reading this might relate with this ordeal). But through it all, I've had to make some serious decisions that aided me through some dark times. I hope and pray that as you apply them in the battles you are currently facing, you'll find a soothing relieve.
You must consciously and deliberately decide to always study disappointment.
Disappointment is a divine instruction, it contains signals. It is a divine conversation. God will usually allow you face disappointment to show you who and what does not belong in your future. He shows you who does not qualify for your future through disappointment. So when you fill any form of disappointment, do not be scared to dream again and try again.
You must consciously and deliberately decide to lavish the seed of honour in your environment. You must decide to honour people for their difference because honour is the celebration of difference.
You must consciously and deliberately decide to excel in obedience.
Obedience is the seed for promotion. I have learnt over time that Instructions are invitation to significance, they are opportunity to prove your integrity, and the difference between the fool and the wise is the reaction to instructions. It is also worth noting that every instruction is part of the golden equation for your future.
You must consciously and deliberately decide to study the character of every friendship.
I have learnt that the quality of the characters of people always around you has a huge significance on how you fare in the battle of life. Therefore, when people show you who they really are, believe them. Seed has no power without proper soil. It is passive. It has no future until it enters a covenant with a quality soil. Seed does not change soil; it only exposes the character of the soil.
So, as you have planted your life into different people and your energy, study and evaluate the result of your seed. Many are afraid of loosing a friend so they in turn loose out in life but you must remember that substitution is the seed for multiplication; God removed Ananias and Sapphira from the book of Acts (Acts 5) and the church multiplied, He removed Korah and 250 leaders of Israel (Numb. 16) and Israel became blessed. When we eliminate wrong things in our lives, right things begin to happen so don't be afraid to scrutinize the result of what you've put in someone.
You must consciously and deliberately decide to master the art of learning, unlearning and relearning.
In all your learning in life, I have come to understand that you are at a distance advantage if you learn to master the Holy Spirit. Learn His countenance, how to discern His voice, how to have a good relationship with Him, what agitates Him and how to move away from everything He's not for.
You must also endeavour to know yourself and the centre of your call in life. A wise man once said, "knowing others is wisdom but knowing yourself is enlightenment".
You must also learn how to invest your finance in a quality soil.
You must consciously and deliberately decide to stay thankful.
No matter how the wind of life blow in your affairs, you must always remain thankful because thankfulness is the seed for joy.
