Hello everyone on Hive, I'm Edward Saah from Ghana. Yesterday, my friend Charles who's been a friend to me since I was 14 years shared a link in a WhatsApp group page talking about a new Social website he found, Hive, inleo. He explained a few things to me and shared the rules of the community, I didn't understand much about it and he was honest enough to say that he's also new to it so he's still learning everything about it.
We have decided to learn together and understand this new platform. It's actually my first time seeing something like this. And kind of my first time hearing the word Blockchain.
As explained by Charles he said it's more of freedom and ownership, something that most popular social platforms like Facebook, X and Instagram don't have. I see how valuable that is and happy to be part. He also told me that on top of the freedom, I'll earn rewards that I have never earned from any of the platforms I've been on. That's great but for me I've barely even used Social platforms to post stuff, I usually just engage with what I see and I have had an Instagram before which I don't visit that often.
For me I think most of the Social platforms doing well are the video platforms and not just the videos, but the short video platforms. I myself don't post videos because I can't think of what to post about myself but when it comes to writing, I can definitely write my opinion on things so I think I'll be very comfortable with the setup of Hive.
Before I made this post, he sent a message to me saying that he found Hive from an article on medium and it was actually Inleo he found. He has educated me on the concept of frontends here. So I'll be checking all the frontends and see how cool each one is. By the way, which is the coolest frontend? Would like to try em all and see.
I definitely have so much to learn so I'm very open to support and help from anyone. Myself and Charles, well his username is @madaug, the both of us will team up to learn more and see where this takes us.
Thank everyone in advance for welcoming me. I say this because Charles told me, he had warm welcome from the community and it's a friendly place to be.
