On Sept 14th, 2024, I married my sweetheart after few years of knowing each other. It was a wonderful occasion that many people including our friends and family members celebrated with us. Still in the honeymoon period, I am so happy to share with you on the blessings, events and activities that produce this wonderful union.
First of all, we met at her place of residence, Okigwe which happened to be where I was schooling. After few encounters, that episode of our life ended when I moved to far away, but our communication was still intact. Because of this incidence, our relationship becomes a long distance type when we hardly see each other in months or years.
Truly, it was never an easy one but it work out well. It comes with challenges. One of it was trust issues. The scene of the world have changed where many young people does not care much about their relationship. Many have many people as their lovers. Even the word "love" have been replaced with "sex" in their vocabulary but sincere ones still exist.
Although the trust issues exist, but I have many ways of dealing with that. I tried my best to be considerate and understanding partner. I never doubt or questioned her trust. With that understanding, it never bother my mind of what she can do or not. Also, I worked on myself too. I built up myself spiritually and focus on Christian activities. With this weapons in my arsenal, I remain faithful and loyal to her, a good example that worth of emulating.
Being apart from each other, comes with blessings, not only challenges as many people view it this days. Love is a burning fire whose heats can melt every resistance. Although it burnt very well with our partner being present, but it last longer after many months of not seeing each other but valid communication. With their presence, it seems like it's anew and refresh itself again and again.
Another advantage of being apart is that there's no fear over betrayals or cheating. During long distance courtship period, such trust concerns have been handled maturely and will never challenge the relationship again. Everyday with the partner seems to be new and fresh as both of you enjoy every bits of the relationship as it should be. Unlike other people that worries in the absence of their partners or being choked with their presence.
Relationship needs constant attention, support and care. No matter whether it's a long distance or short, constant attention will keep the fire burning all day long. Social media can be helpful on this regard. Chats with our partners can be simple and easy but can sustain our relationship no matter the distance between the partners. Talk about everything and being sincere can heal the wounds and gap between them without letting others to enjoy their insecurities. Both partners needed to work for the growth of their new - found love. It should not be one-sided where only one person do every thing for the growth of the relationship. Nothing should be taken for granted but every factors are carefully cherished for the joy of relationship which is very important.
