I do like it as well, when someone does that, maybe, after a while of reaching out to me, and I did not take the call. He/she will leave a message for me.

When the person does that, it shows to me that the called was very important, and, I will called back immediately.

Talking on phone isn't much good at time's, if we did not want to divide our attention.
