Hello Friends, |
---|
You see, it's funny how alot of people view this same life differently. I have grown to realize that some individuals are afraid of being happy for too long, because they have the fear that something worse might happen after their happiness.
This got me wondering how do happiness really operate? Was happiness designed to come into our lifes once in a while, and after that comes sadness?
But until we come to understand what happiness truely is, we won't be able to answer this funny questions on happiness and life.
My View On What Happiness Entails |
---|
From my childhood days up until now, I have known happiness to be a simple state of being satisfied and excited after achieving a task or hitting a milestone.
But just recently, I began to wonder again, is happiness supposed to come only when we achieve a milestone? If truely so, then happiness would really be rare to find for some people.

It's quite unfortunate that the modern society have reshaped our understanding and definition of what happiness should truely mean. The digital world has made us believe true happiness is achieved from material success.
This societal lens prompts individuals to equate happiness with tangible achievements like acquiring property, climbing the career ladder, or achieving a certain social status.
In as much as these achievements are great, I believe this shouldn't be the absolute basis for feeling happy. As it would only shift the focus from valuable moment, experiences and connections to having possessions and accolades.
After realizing that true happiness are hidden in our everyday interactions, and connections, I have had more happier days than I had could ever imagine.
Hence, my definition of happiness are the little moments and experiences of life which we supports and motivates our learning and growth. Sweet definition here right? lol.
Our generation tend to get it wrong whenever we talk about happiness, because we entangle it with flashy things that are outside. But true happiness flows from within.
No wonder a religion like buddhism defines happiness as a state of inner peace and contentment that is derived from detaching ourselves from worldly desires.
Happiness My Daily Journey |

Now that we have gotten a better glimpse of what happiness truely entails, we could see that happiness can be felt by everyone and from everywhere, regardless of your materialistic achievements.
Research has it that that our sense of wellbeing is more deeply rooted in our internal responses and attitudes toward life's events than in the accumulation of material successes or external validations.

This is why gratitude is very important in our everyday life. As you wake up in the morning, first of all, give thanks to the source that gives life. That is where your happiness would begin for the day.
I have decided to walk in happiness everyday of my life, because I now knows how it's done. To easily walk in happiness all day, you must shift your focus into growing internally. Believe me it works like magic.
That little moment in which you interact, experience and learn something new about life, it brings that irreplaceable satisfaction of joy.
I personally find this joy and happiness in my quiet times, because these are usually the times I reflect and meditate on what life is all about.

I discuss with my inner man, and I learn alot everyday even without going anywhere. Hence, my source of happiness comes from within, it would surely continue daily.
We all are different in our ways, so what what works for me might not work for you. The most important advise would be to accept every passing moment (highs or lows) with gratitude and happiness would flow naturally as you grow.
