       IS TOLERANCE IMPORTANT?

Each day, we find ourselves working with different individuals from diverse backgrounds. No matter what they do, we still have to learn to adapt to have a good working environment for us all

Do you agree with the fact that tolerance in a workplace is important for productivity?

There was a particular time for election and we were posted as Adhoc officials, I applied so as others. To my surprise, I saw my junior at my place of work as the leader of my team🤣 it was so funny that others were like this is reality. You were his boss at your normal job but he is now your boss as an Adhoc official, what a life!
We did the work together like one mind, there was no shortcoming at all and nobody knew I was his boss. Tolerance brings us together to achieve a common goal👌

As we all know the ability to tolerate each other makes the world a better place. People are from different backgrounds, different beliefs, opinions, home training, religions, cultural diversities, and lots more but the ability to tolerate one another makes us one.

We have seen people marrying from different tribes yet they tolerate one another based on the love and understanding they have for each other. How do you see two people coming together as one? It is because they have accepted to tolerate each other.

Same thing with people in churches, mosques, or shrines, people are different and they must worship in oneness for that to happen, tolerance is important 👌

There was a time in my life when all the friends I had were from the Igbo part of the ethnic groups in Nigeria. As a Yoruba girl, people will always ask me why I chose to be friends with the Igbos when I'm a Yorubas. My answer has always been, that as long as I'm tolerant, I can be friends with any tribe no matter who they are.

I observed my NYSC in the Northern part of Nigeria and I still chose Hausas as my friends, where I worked then, the majority of the staff were Hausas, we just had two Yorubas and two Igbos in the whole of my workplace. For only one year, we worked as if we had known each other for a very long time and we worked as one. We still talk till date.

Is tolerance important for productivity? Yes, it is.

In a place of work, what do you expect to see? No organization desires a downfall. So therefore, tolerance is important in productivity as it allows individuals to work effectively and efficiently together, even when they may have different opinions, beliefs, backgrounds, or ideas.

In an organization, tolerance creates a positive and inclusive work environment, where employees feel respected and valued, leading to an increase in morale and teamwork. In a workplace where everyone is biased based on their intolerant attributes, the productivity of such an organization is zero.

Tolerance can improve the free flow of communication, problem-solving skills, and overall productivity within the organization in a short while. When two heads come together, it yields good results.

However, being tolerant of one another's perspectives, ideas and opinions can also foster creativity and innovation within a team, leading to more successful outcomes. When the team is united, there will be outstanding productivity.

We are different in so many ways but we are together to achieve a goal👍

Tolerance for one another starts from home. If you cannot tolerate your siblings, you will find it difficult when you are outside. An adage says charity begins at home Inculcate the Tolerance attitude in your children so that when they are outside either, in a place of work or wherever they find themselves, it will yield good results.

I have started my teaching as a mother to my children to adopt tolerant attributes towards one another. If there is tolerance among you, there won't be a hole because the bond will be stronger and nobody can break it. My parents tolerated each other that's why they were together till death.

Conclusively, two can not work together unless they are agreed according to Amos 3vs3. (The holy bible). The boss should give room to subordinates to bring his/her ideas to the table for a better result

This is my response to the Hiveghana weekly engagement.

For any company or firm to be productive, the members must be tolerant and cooperate with each other.

Exactly, the way it is

Oh cool, i always did. my service in the north
It was hard to co exist with them as a southerner but eventually i learned how to and it was always a happy time at work

It would be hard in the beginning but later on, you people must get along for things to run smoothly.

I never believed I would have Hausas as friends but it worked eventually because a lot needs to be done👍

Thanks dear @abenad for stopping by

I can just imagine

You’re welcome

I believe that life just flows smoothly for those who are tolerant. I mean, people will always have different views and beliefs, and our ability to tolerate them would give us peace of mind.

Yes, exactly!
