Hope at the end of the tunnel

in HiveGhana27 days ago (edited)

Greetings beautiful friends in #Hiveghana, how was your day today, hope you had a lovely day. Am glad to be hear and to share with you my story to inspire people that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

My name is Nguzoro Amarachi, been the first daughter of a family of 5. Life has not fair with us, since we were kids my mother has been the one taken care of us through the little salary they pay as a cleaner in a little organization. My dad rides bicycle to support the family but after he had accident with the bicycle which affected his leg, he stopped using the bicycle and beside he doesn't see very well due to eye problems.

My siblings are still young, to eat it's a problem, my mum has been helpful and I call my hero, doing all manners of manual jobs to take care of the family, to train and pay for our school fees. Life has not been fair and due to my fathers prediction, things has not been fair and we been going through hell to survive.

No relatives cares to know how we feed, they don't care if we alive or death. One of my sibling has to go to a relative to serve as a maid, so she can be taken care of and go to school. But she later came back due to maltreatment and hard labor, even the school we taught she was going there, they never send her to school while she was with them. Because of that my vowed never to send to us to stay with any relatives again, that she will take care of us and what we see to eat, we manage it together.

At one of the local market in the my street my mom started selling roasted yam, porridge beans and potatoes which shee prepare with red oil sauce to feed and take care of us. my mum will wake up early every morning before the day break, to select the beans and cook the beans for each days sale. She will be under the sun from morning to dawn. When am I comes home from school during the holidays I do assist her, she can then rest a bit for the period i will be around. She barely sleeps well just for to meet ends meet.

There was a time I entered the bush to pick palm kernel to eat, my leg got trapped by the trap set by hunter for the bush animal, I got a very bad injury on my leg, that made me not to walk for some times. my mom was worried sick, the little money she used it to take me to the hospital for treatment. At a time no money for medication, she some of valuable to buy medication for me. With that love i vowed to take care of her, i will put more effort in my studies to make her proud, because the love she show and showers on us her children is massive.

One thing I like about my mother is that she never give up, as a dedicated Christian, she believes that one day everything go better and what God cannot do does not exist. That one day the storm will be calm one day. In school I was doing well in my academic and my sibling knowing fully well our back ground and how my mum is suffering to train, with that it encouraged us to do better and make our family proud. After 4 years I graduated from the university as biochemist in technology. My mom was so happy for having a first graduate in the family, her joy was boundless. seeing the joy and laughter in her face made me happy.

The second daughter later graduated a year later from nursing school, and she got a job in one of the big hospital in the city, and my younger brother, who was learning trading finished serving and his boss settled him. He got his own shop and starts doing his own business which is also booming well. And am working in a company as a quality assurance.

No we have rented a better apartment for my parents, and we stopped our mum from doing her roasted yam business, she can now rest now and eat the fruit of her labour. She truly suffered for us all those days of sleepless nights and starving to take care of us.

My mom’s journey of life is one of hardwork, love, never give up and believe. She never gave up on on her self, she belief in her self and God, and we never gave up on her nor quite. For anyone going through difficult situations in life, look at my story and mum and have hope, that one day it will be better and never give on your self and trust in God, and with prayer and hardwork every crooked way will be made straight.

Thanks for reading this far, and i love you your supports. Welcome to @amara24 blog. See you all in my next post.
