All my friends say I’m hard to impress because the regular things that should impress a lady don’t impress me but I feel like they just don’t want to admit the fact that I’m a very simple person.For me it’s always the little things, things that wouldn’t even come to mind if you were to buy gifts for me. About a week ago, my friend asked me what I wanted for valentine and I told him sausage, kalyppo and biscuit. He was really shocked and thought I was joking. Me joking?? I was really serious about it.
Anyway the whole situation made me remember the best valentine gift I’ve ever received. I’ve received so many gifts, from teddy bear to gadgets, to clothes and so on but my best one is in the video I’ve shared. This was from someone who offended me, it was really painful and I felt betrayed. I actually cut him off after giving him so many chances ( I’m sure he even felt a sharp pain because I did the cutting off with a kitchen knife, haha).
I used to think I even offended him for him to do all that he did but the moment he came back apologizing, I knew I was faultless and clean as the Angel that I am ( don’t laugh). The first thing that came to mind was that I was going to return the package because you can’t just come and “gift” your way back into my life.Part of me was also curious to see what was inside so I opened it and saw normal stuff and was like whatever whatever. Then I saw the shoes and started reconsidering his apology and oh then the snacks finalized my decision to really forgive him.
I was really not “feeIing” the gift until I saw the snacks. Honestly, the snacks made the whole package the best gift I’ve ever received. Not that I’m a foodie, but you really can’t go wrong with food.
I don’t know what’s with African ladies and flowers. Come on, our weather is not even suitable for these flowers yet we always want flowers and oh they are so expensive( well, for me).
I remember @smariam saying if any man doesn’t know and sends her flowers over 4000 cedis in this economy, she’ll use the flowers to slap his face.
I know as I’ve expressed my love for food as the best gift, someone would think of sending me banku and okro stew or amala and banga soup. Please dont also forget I accept the little things. The little things really matter to me, talk of a car or house at east legon or even BTC won’t be so bad.
