Have you ever had a wonderful day where you wished it never ended, or maybe you wished there was a way you could print that day in your memory forever? Today has been that day for me. I spent the day with my favorite person in the world.
Gladys has been my friend for as long as I can remember, and I know my calculations might be wrong, but I’ll just say we’ve been friends for 19 years now. I’m saying I might be wrong because each year, we find out we were friends way longer than the year we both have in mind.
Anyway, we don’t exactly remember the particular day we became friends, but we celebrate our friendship each time we get the chance to. After all, life is short. So today, we planned on spending the day together. I actually took a whole week off from work, and she took the month off. Yes, typical Gladys. Sometimes when people say I’m dramatic, I just laugh because I’m probably 1% of how Gladys is.

I love her so much, and I love the kind of impact she has on me. There have been many times I just went to her and said, "Yo, I'm tired of this and that; I'm giving up," and then she would go like, "Of course, I one hundred percent support you. You should give up today, get some food and eat, and then get back on track tomorrow," or she would be like, "How about you reward yourself for the amazing work you've been doing and then continue tomorrow?"
The other time at work, we were discussing about how hard it was for people to donate their organs and all. I didn't say much, but I just knew if there was one person aside from my family who I would donate an organ to, it's definitely going to be this woman right here. I just love loveeeee her!
Okay, enough of me drooling all over her; let me continue. So we decided to go to our favorite place in the world: the beach, of course. Most of our favorite memories have been on this particular beach, so we decided to go there today. Another reason why we chose this particular beach is because of how beautifully the sunsets over there. Trust me, it makes you feel like you have absolutely no problem in the world.

After basking in the glory of the sunset, I decided to order chicken pizza because Gladys hates pizza.(Yes, I just annoy her 90% of the time). She thinks it’s the most overrated food in the world, and I wanted to prove her wrong. I was so confident that she would love this particular pizza, and when the order was ready, she rather proved me right. It wasn’t as I expected, and it was almost as if I needed a microscope to see the chicken in the pizza. I wanted to order real banku but I’m on a flat tummy diet for detty December so I didn’t. Lol. Not Gladys though.

Aside from the pizza that went south, today was amazing. I’m so grateful for my friend and my sister. I’m grateful for our friendship, and I’m grateful for how far we’ve both come in life. Cheers to forever.
