Hello everyone

Welcome to another installment of "My Vinyl Collection", it is the first of 2024 and we are going to see an album of the best artists, in my opinion, that the 20th century has produced, it is Prince or The artist formerly known as Prince. For those who do not know the reason for this name, it is worth remembering that when he wanted to break his contract with the record company, they prohibited him from using his stage name.

This vinyl was released in 1991, at this point Prince was already a music superstar since his album and movie "Purple Rain" swept the world, at that time the name of the band was Prince & The Revolutions. Without a doubt my favorite.

And Prince sings, plays dozens of instruments, dances and composes, but without a doubt what I like most is how he plays the guitar and that's why I bought this album, because after a few years of funk/disco Prince played again the guitar masterfully, of course.

This album is double and has a good set of songs, among which "Cream", "Thunder" or "Get Off" stand out. As usual, I will leave you the YouTube links so you can listen to the songs that I like the most on the album and the link to full album.

bienvenidos a otra entrega de "Mi Colección de Vinilos", es la primera de 2024 y vamos a ver un album de los mejores artistas, en mi opinión, que ha dado el siglo XX, se trata de Prince o El artista antes conocido como Prince. Para el que no conozca el por qué de este nombre cabe recordar que que cuando quiso romper su contrato con la compañia discográfica, ésta le prohibió usar su nombre artístico.

Este vinilo se publicó en 1991, a estas alturas Prince ya era una superestrella de la música ya que su álbum y también película "Purple Rain" arrasó en todo el mundo, por esa época el nombre de la banda era Prince & The Revolutions. Sin duda mi favorito.

Y es que Prince canta, toca decenas de instrumentos, baila y compone, pero sin duda lo que a mi más me gusta es como toca la guitarra y por eso compré este disco, porque después de unos años de funk/disco Prince volvió a tocar la guitarra de forma magistral, por supuesto.

Este álbum es doble y trae un buen conjunto de canciones de las que destacan "Cream" "Thunder" o "Get Off", como es habitual os dejaré los enlaces de YouTube para que podáis escuchar las canciones que más me gustan del disco y el enlace al album completo.

Hace tiempo que no tenía presente en la memoria al Sr. Prince, era todo un personaje en verdad.
Recuerdo en parte la película que hizo de su canción, de La lluvia púrpura.
Fue en verdad una buena epoca.

Increible, creo que es de 1984 nada menos. Casualmente estuve en Minneapolis (su ciudad natal) el 7-7-2007 donde hizo un concierto conmemorativo de toda su carrera, no fui al concierto pero si vi a la gente acampada dos dias para comprar las entradas.
