Hi, I’m Stephanie Obidimma, and this is me, unfiltered, in my coat and in my groove.
Born and raised in the vibrant heart of Anambra State " You can call me that Strong willed Igbo Girl", Nigeria, I’m a student of Science Laboratory Technology in a wonderful school. The world of blood, body fluids, and microscope slides has become more than just academic work. It has become a part of how I see and feel life. I know it’s not every day you hear someone say they like the sight of blood, but to me, it’s not something to fear. It’s fascinating. It's not just red; it's a story, a signature, and sometimes even a mystery. Being a Lab Scientist in training has made me appreciate the colorful complexity of the human body.
While I spend much of my academic life examining samples and decoding cellular puzzles, I also have a creative, expressive side that thrives in rhythm, flavor, and imagination. When I’m not doing school works, you’ll probably find me singing, dancing, rapping, or baking something sweet. My passion for expression is just as strong as my curiosity in the lab, and I embrace both sides fully.
I often say that I love traveling in my head. It means my mind is always exploring places I’ve never been to physically. I imagine walking the streets of Paris, enjoying the nature scenes of Bana Hill, feeling the culture of other countries, or relaxing by the waters of the Maldives. I create vivid adventures in my thoughts and picture myself experiencing different places and meeting new people, most are from stories my uncles, friends who loves to travel relates with me whenever we vibe together. One day, I hope to turn these dreams into reality. For now, i'll stay glued to my imagination.
This blend of science (my school life) and creativity (my talents) is what makes me who I am. To be honest I don’t believe people need to fit into one category. I can be passionate about biology and blood analysis, and at the same time, love music, movement, and art. I’ve learned to accept and celebrate all parts of myself without having to choose one over the other.
That’s why I’ve decided to share my story with the world using my little companions: my phone, the internet, and the Hive blockchain. I got introduced to hive around 2020 by my uncle but never took it seriously, fast forward to now I guess this is just all I need right now to share my untold stories (instead of piling them up in my journals) . I want to write about my journey both as a student and as a person figuring out life in all its ups and downs. Some of my stories will be educational. Some may be confusing. Others will be funny. But they will all be honest and uniquely mine.
There’s a lot that happens in the life of a Science Laboratory Technology student. There are exams that leave your brain spinning, practicals that make you feel like a magician, and long nights of studying that turn into deep conversations with classmates, lab experience and secrets the list goes on. There are also personal experiences "learning how to manage friendships, dealing with self-doubt, burning a cake while trying a new recipe, or having to smile through heartbreak while submitting an assignment". These moments and more matter, and I would love to share them with you.
I believe that there’s beauty in the ordinary.
The world often tries to put us in boxes, telling us to pick one path and stick with it. I prefer to create my own way. I want to live in a space where science and art can coexist, where dreams and data walk hand in hand, and where a young woman from Anambra can hold a stethoscope in one hand and a microphone in the other.
If you found me through Hive, a video, a baking post, or by chance online, welcome to my space.
Here’s to blood samples and dance moves. To failed experiments and sweet successes. To daydreams that one day become real. And most importantly, here’s to being me Stephanie Obidimma, science lover, dream traveler, lab explorer, and unapologetic creator.
