Hello, #Sketchbook friends. It's always a tremendous pleasure to return to this family to share a bit of my vision of the world through my drawings.
This time, I decided to translate onto cardboard one of the emotions that Saint Exupery addresses with his story of The Little Prince. I specifically focus on the well-known chapter about the dialogue between the little boy and his rose, as it is the starting point for the development of the learning process and future evolution of the Little Prince.
This boy, an inhabitant of an asteroid, caretaker of volcanoes, begins to experience emotions after meeting the flower. From that moment on, he begins a journey through the universe in search of a friend; he leaves his planet, his life, to discover other life forms, other plants, symbols of other people, and to abandon that innocence in the process of growing up.
With this drawing, I tried to evoke the sadness that leaving behind her rose provokes, and the nostalgia she begins to feel even before she's set off on her adventure. It's just a moment in the story, but a very significant one.
As is part of my creative motivations, I try to capture the gesture, finding a path with lines, shadows, and lights to express different emotions. I hope you can identify with this; only then will I have fulfilled my goal.

Hola, amigos de #Sketchbook. Siempre es un tremendo placer regresar a esta familia para compartirles un poco de mi visión sobre el mundo mediante mis dibujos.
En esta ocasión he decidido traducir en la cartulina una de las emociones que aborda Saint Exúpery con su historia del Principito. Precisamente tomo como centro el conocido capitulo del diálogo entre el pequeño y su rosa por ser el punto de partida para el desarrollo del aprendizaje y futura evolución del personaje del Principito.
Este niño, habitante de un asteroide, cuidador de volcanes, comienza a experimentar emociones tras conocer a la flor. Desde ese momento iniciará un recorrido por el universo en busca de un amigo; abandona su planeta, su vida, para conocer otras vidas, otros plantas, símbolos de otras personas e ir dejando esa inocencia en el proceso del crecimiento.
Con este dibujo he tratado de evocar esa tristeza que le provoca la partida dejando a su rosa y la nostalgia que comienza a sentir aún sin marcharse a la aventura. Apenas un instante dentro de la historia pero uno muy significativo.
Como es parte de mis motivaciones creativas, intento captar el gesto, encontrar un camino con líneas, sombras y luces para expresar distintas emociones. Espero conseguir que ustedes se identifiquen con esto, solo entonces habré cumplido mi objetivo.
