I woke up to hear my friend sobbing during the early hours of this morning, I just thought to myself why would a grown up man be sobbing, I was disturbed within me, but didn't want to let him know I've heard him, we have been talking about a lot lately at how expensive things are, plus it's like it's different here in the state were we live, we're currently serving together in the eastern state, but the cost of living here is a bloody mess.
Like it's not getting any better, everyday things are adding up and untop of that surviving in a strange land with how much 33k? with the current state of things, it's insane and it's not making sense at all....
Few days ago @bularj my friend wrote a very interesting post about his side of the experience, like my heart is so full and I can't just talk about it cause it's no use, after all said and done those at the top will still go out to do what's in their minds, coming up with reckless policies that all together makes matters worst, for instance we are taxed on all fronts, from the least phones calls, to every single bank transaction, to mobile data tariffs and every day's it's getting more worst, it's no good news at all....
So the system milking Citizens, making living even more unbearable as every day goes by, so the least you get after tax and barely enough to buy anything like a shadow it's all gone without you getting anything tangible....
What are the government doing to ease the suffering, ever since the current administration got into power, right from the inception during election eve it's been from one toll of hardship experienced to another, everyday its a different phase altogether,
Just few days ago a girl broke down in tears at how expensive things are no matter how much you have it will barely go round and she's calling the president a terrible president, this is happening in a country were freedom of speech is just on papers, while every body is manning up and proving the naija spirit it's getting so overwhelming, what is happening while the economy is falling apart with each passing day.
So you see that the cost of is Constantly on the rise while income remain stagnant and in other to keep up one must hustle on extra mile, it's far beyond the norm now cause what usually sustain you can no longer be, it's now a matter of strength to make up, plus finding out from my friend that to jakpa now is a no option cause the government has now made the criteria unrealistic, doubling the minimum amount in your bank account to an all new height, so it's like the system is locked down weather you like it or not you must fight it here, with very little or no support from the government.....
The cost of living has hit everybody so hard that it's so difficult to have a decent living, you must level up your earnings work twice as hard, putting more, spend very wisely, cautiously, prudently and very careful, no extravagant spending, no unnecessary wants, for the first time NIGERIANS understood what it means to cut your coat according to your size.
