Welcome to my weekly #saturdaysavers post, a frequent saving update I make every week as my s a participation in Saturday Savers Club. #saturdaysavers club is saving club, so you can expect our activities are all about sharing our saving updates, and it can go all the way whether it is on HIVE or outside HIVE including in our real world asset.
This week is very bad for me, not for my saving, oh.. well my saving is getting involved too so it is bad too.
I really have a big problem occured a few days ago, which was my client failed to pay their due invoice. We had contacted and reconfirmed about the payment several times, but well... that day they sent confirmation about the delay.
I have taken out all my money from the bank, safety box, piggy bank, and even I sold some jewerly and mobile phone just to get the fund we needed. We had Eid Mubarak celebration, and at the same time parents needed to pay for their student national exams, so expenditures were at the peak.
If I did not get those money, people around me which were my family and my staffs, they would not get some fund to pay for those. It would be a disaster.
so TL:DR, I did not get full amount of the fund we needed, but everyone could get some and we avoided the worst. But it put me into a condition which I am cashless and no saving in banks nor credit card balance. Yeah, I have to take all my liquid crypto out, real world matters most now!
Back to the Hive, I do not want to say more about my financial condition, I start to follow and follow back some accounts. I realize that most of my friends who I follow, they have retired from HIVE. Some left are mostly gamers, and recently I do not write a lot about games.
So I think this is a good time, which I need some refreshing and fresh view of my feed, that I should pick a more general topic writers on Hive who I can read their content. I can read their content? I mean I can relate with their topic, they way they write, and at least they are not copy pasting from AI.
So I hope from today my feed will be slightly different, and hopefully they could ease my messy head due to my current financial issue.
Ok that's for today chit chat, Now let's see my saving update here..
PRIMARY TARGET : HBD SAVING
My primary goal is to grow my $HBD Saving, to reach 5.000 $HBD Saving in this year, 2025. That is an ambitious target regarding I started 2025 with 0 $HBD. Mathematically this means I need to get $95 HBD every week.
Ok this is bad, really bad. I need all my money I can gather right now, so I am taking out all $HBD from my saving. Like I said before, I ran out of cash and saving in my bank, so I started squishing out anything I can get.
The table is back to red, which mean I have to take out all my $HBD saving out. This is very bad for my primary goal, however I believe I have to do this or else I might have to liquidate all my HIVE assets here including Hive Power.
Sometime we have to make a heavy call, the decision will give a bad result and bad consequence however it is needed to avoid bigger loss or bigger problem.
I do not like this and I wish I do not have to do this... but still, this is the time I have to make a bad move to avoid the worst.
SECONDARY TARGET : HIVE POWER (HP)
Hive Power (HP) is very important for all Hivers who plan to stay long on this blockchain. For 2025, my secondary goal is to have 13.500 Hive Power (HP). It's not a big target and I want to make as many people realize that it is important to grow your Hive Power.
I have reached 11.725 HP this week, which means I have got around 88 Hive Power this week. The number of HP growth I have in the last 3 weeks are quite OK, the growth rate stays above 80 Hive Power per week.
Even though I have a bad condition right now, I mean financial condition in real world, I am happy at least my HP is still growing well. It is not something that outstanding, but regarding how difficult the current condition, it is still something that stays working well at the moment.
So I can say setting at least one post for 100% HP rewards is paying well for this secondary target
