Hey, people
This morning in my compound, I had a small who played around, came to my house we gist and talked about many things. This boy was playing with another girl child 🤣 and he told this girl, I love you. The girl ran to me and told me that this boy said he loved her. 🤣 My response to her was simple and concise for her to understand. I said to her that for someone to tell you, "I love you," is not a bad thing or a sin. Instead, I used these big words, like, platonic and universal love, and later explained them to her. It was funny and it was a privilege for me to teach them what love is all about. I love you. This phrase sounds like a compliment, but it is deeper than that. Love is an expression of friendship without romantic intentions or showing appreciation for someone for the things done for them. While I was talking to them, I had this thought about "proper sex education should be incorporated into the school curriculum and parental controls".
At first, to the parents. They should teach their children properly about sex and appropriate explanations about sex, it's necessary and important for children not to trespass or want to experience it with a lack of knowledge. It will be so painful to see your girl-child or boy-child learning it from outsiders, and the next thing swings into actions just to know how it is done.
However, like I said earlier, it is not a bad thing for a child to tell the opposite child, I love you. In our present society, parents and teachers must make it understandable to every child to know how to say, I love you to the opposite sex to avoid misinterpretation of it.
The young girl, ran to me because she might have had another version or understanding of "I love you" in another way. So I took time to explain to her and got it and thanked me for such a concise explanation.
She said she thought I Love You. She thought it was meant for the husband and wife because she had been seeing her parents, using this phrase with each other.
Nevertheless, parents should teach their children how to say I love you to each other at home, especially among their siblings. It builds or fosters bonds, unity, and peace in the family.
Thank you
