This is an interesting idea ! I think the one additional element it needs is to identify localised issues that threaten biodiversity, and then work out how tokenisation can incentivise the local communities to mitigate the problem.
For example, a community school might receive funding which increases over time if the wildlife that needs to be preserved prospers. Or tokens might be fed through to a community that has a problem with elephants destroying crops which can be redeemed for elephant-resistant fencing or for the planting of trees the elephants find more appealing than human crops.
