Greetings!
The Food Chain deck that I made last time kind of got really crushed with this deck, so I tried out this deck for myself. It is kind of a costly deck with some expensive cards, but it could counter most of the decks by itself, so I really think it is a decent deck.
I only played 11 games but it has a whopping 72% Winrate. It is a really good deck but it also takes more time to play this game, since you need to buff That Which Feeds Us until both player's deck runs out, or you make your opponent concede.
Deck
This deck uses a lot of the control cards, but like the Food Chain deck last time it also relies on That Which Feeds Us to directly damage the opponent. Before that, it focuses on surviving with various methods.
Winter's Bounty and Ember Oni is for Healing, and you could heal around 40~ if you use those cards.
If the opponent is a combo deck, you could break their combo by Undersea Spellwyrm or Shine & Dearly Departed. But, you need two cards for the Dearly Departed combo and the opponent would get Undersea Spellwyrm and also target your card.
Writhing Wolfpack is a really interesting card. If you could transform it, by Shines or Staff of Aberration(although the latter could be targeted by relic removal), it would just delete all the opponent's monsters on board. On its own, it could be used to stall for a turn.
For the tech cards, we have Rust Away for Relics, or Structures if you are lucky to have. It also has a delve spell that you could use almost anytime. 2 Abyss Watchers are also handy for void hate.
Deck Code: GU_1_5_KDZKDZKDSKDSNAQNAQLAHLAHMBEMBENALNALNAENAENCfNCfMBOLAILAIMCiMCiNAHNAFMBBMBBOAJOAJNCTPAmPAm
Alternatives (More Expensive Cards!)
Dread Marauder: This card could wreck Food Chain Decks, when you steal one of the Food Chain with Undersea Spellwyrm. Even against other gods, it is going to be nice because some of it rely on summoning creatures. However, it is expensive to buy and rent. It could replace Abyss Watcher when it could be used.
Compost Charm: A genesis card, and it is really strong. 2 Mana 10 heal is an awesome ability, and it also replaces itself when you use it at the later game. It would replace Lootable Corpse or Rust Away, Staff of Aberration if it could be used.
Others: Raid Swarm, Regression, OP Neutrals(Blade of Whiteplain, Hortuk, Eiko...)
Mulligan
Nature: Against Food Chain, Shines On Us All, The Dearly Departed, Undersea Spellwyrm to break the combo. Once you break the combo, you can outlast them by Healing and That Which Feeds Us. Also Blood in the Water for removal after they complete the combo.
War: Strong early game removals (Lash Out, Cornered Howler, Blood in the Water). Most war decks are Aggro, so you just need to survive the first few rounds.
Death: Void Hate(Abyss Watcher). Also Rust Away for Zombie Decks, and also early game removals like War.
Deception: Removals against HRD, and if they are Control, you should be planning for a long game with Winter's Bounty.
Light: Aggro Light could be tricky to be against because of a lot of buffs, so Shine on us All would be nice to have, along with some removals. Against Control would take a long time to play, and you need to win by outlasting them with a gigantic That Which Feeds Us.
Magic: If they play Arrandion deck, use Shine and Dearly Departed to erase it at 8 mana. If they are a usual Spell Burn deck, use Winter's Bounty to heal and also Undersea Spellwyrm.
Battle
For this battle we have Deception as the opponent. Games with Deception, Light and Magic tends to be long, while War, Nature is the fastest.
1~2 Mana
The early games of this game is cut, but they played Tooth Fae on turn 1 and I played Encumbered Looter, and I used GP on turn 2.
3 Mana
They play a 3/3 unit that they got from Tooth Fae, and they attack with Tooth Fae. I was able to get That Which Feeds Us on board to clear Tooth Fae.
4 Mana
They reduce the strength of That Which Feeds Us to 0, and attacks. I play Abyss Watcher.
5 Mana
They clear the frontline, and they get Writhing Wolfpack by Path of Deception. I play Shine on us All here to clear the board because That Which Feeds Us would be resetting to 3/3 and Blitz, and I also have another Shine. With the delve, I was able to get a Leech monster
5.5 Mana
I play the 3/6 Leech unit that I got from Shine on us All.
6 Mana
They somehow got a structure, so I destroy it with Rust Away. I also get another Rust Away from the delve, because the others were not great. I attack face with my units. Madame Denholm spitting out 1/1 is really bad for me, because it would stack over time.
6.5 Mana
They also play Gariel, so I clear the board now with Blood in the Water targeting my Leech unit. It clears the board and gets me to full health again.
7 Mana
They play Guild Enforcer, so I use Path of Nature and my pip to find That Which Feeds Us to clear it.
7.3 Mana
Playing Witherfinger on only 1 unit is not great for them. And by getting another That Which Feeds Us, I was able to clear it.
7.6 Mana
They steal my 12/10 That Which Feeds Us by sleeping it and stealing it. However it is sleeping so it cannot attack, and Imperious Smite from the sanctum with my Cornered Howler is able to clear the board easily.
8 Mana
They get removals with Crooked Quartermaster. Here, I use Dearly Departed and Shine on us All but does not get any important creatures. I also get Leyline Feeder from the delve, and I cleared the Quartermaster with my unit.
8.25 Mana
Lash out easily takes out the Tooth Fae that they played. I use Rust away to delve a spell, and it gave me Vasek which would heal me a little bit over time.
8.5 Mana
They have a lot of stat on board, so I play Crawling Madness and use The Trial Begins to find my That Which Feeds Us, but I cannot play it this turn. I also had to use Rune of Life because I was running out of my hand limit.
8.75 Mana
I Vasek, GP and That Which Feeds Us to clear the board, and That Which Feeds Us is now at 13/17.
9 Mana
They misplay? here by using Trapdoor on That Which Feeds Us. It would come back and put another copy in my deck. With that, even if they somehow take away one of it, I would still have another. Cornered Howler removes most of the enemy units, while I play That Which Feeds Us. Path of Nature gives me another That Which Feeds Us on my hand, but they clear it by Wolfpack.
9 Mana
I use Undersea Spellwyrm because at this point, I am not on the winning point, and stealing Winter's Bounty is not a critical hit to me because I still have Vasek.
9 Mana
I use another Undersea Spellwyrm and it clears Spellbound. After that, I play Staff here, although I could've used another card.
9 Mana
They play Witherfingers, but That Which Feeds Us clear it easily. I kind of misplay here by transforming, but at least it has ward. I wanted to use Leyline Feeder but it would mill me 1 card next turn, so I used GP.
9 Mana
They have Guild Enforcer and uses Path of Deception. If they got That Which Feeds us by using Dreadtouch it could've won the game for them, but they did not. I clear Guild Enforcer and they are now at 4 health. So, I use Undersea Spellwyrm and Dearly Departed to mass with their hands. It is GG!
Outro
This Nature deck seems to perform well in Mythic rank, and I am pretty excited to see what other decks would work well in this Meta!
