Although nicely written, this feels more like a snapshot; a brief peek into someone's life, than a complete short story. Pieces under 750 words often suffer from under development. In this submission we are introduced to a number of characters and told a little about them but I would have liked to have seen a conflict with resolution, and a definitive character arc.
