RE: The Weight of Expectations

in The Ink Well6 days ago (edited)

hello @vegetvegeta. This piece had potential but was somewhat underdeveloped and would also have benefited from a light edit to correct for spelling errors and issues with grammar and punctuation. In The Ink well we recommend a minimum length of 750 words for short story submissions. Anything shorter than this invariably suffers from underdevelopment. We also expect writers to submit quality edited pieces for review. We do not want writers to use AI editors to rephrase, improve or create better fluency in their pieces. Only light editing is allowed. I noted that you have left some comments on the stories of other writers in the community. Can you confirm that these comments are your own and of your own creation? You have placed them in quotation marks, which is unusual, and the language and style of commentary also do not appear to match your voice and writing style. Do you read a story, then comment, then read the next story and comment, and so on?

The comments are mine

Could you explain why the language and style of your commentary is so different to that of your posts. Could you also answer our question regarding your approach to reading and commenting on stories. Do you read a story and then comment meaningfully before reading the next and then commenting meaningfully?

When writing I usually use deliberate ideas and when commenting I use casual words. Yes I read a story and then I drop a comment.

This is an interesting response 🤔

Ok

Why I added the quotation marks was because I thought that as I was the one giving the comments it should be in quotations did not know that it was against the standards am sorry
