RE: Theatre and spotlights

in The Ink Welllast year

While this story is well told, it seems Anna's role in the drama is underplayed. Between them, the men are dismissing the pregnancy (Frederick) or using it to their advantage (Jake). It would have enriched the story greatly to know more about Anna and how this challenge affects her. In a way, she is the most important figure in the story, the person around whom the other events revolve.

There is little sympathy for Frederick, who neglects his responsibility, and little regard for Jake, who seems to be a cad. You certainly indicate this clearly about both men when you describe their behavior.

Thank you for sharing this story with us, @sabrinah.
