Olufunmilayo is a beautiful undergraduate of one of the most reputable institution in west Africa. She is from a well respected Muslim family. Funmi has become of age and her plan was to get married immediately she completed her university education.

While on that she remembered how her last relationship ended….. At the mention of his name, Alhaji's (Funmi's father) contenance Changed then he asked what religion do you practice? Victor made it known to Alhaji that he was a Christian. Alhaji told Victor outrightly that the countship or relationship will not work because he does not want his daughter to marry outside his religion.
Funmi continued her soliloquy by saying as if that was not enough,Toheeb too did his own then another flash back. ********The flash back shows Funmi as a guest in a simple sitting room that will pass for a young man's setting room. She meet a strange woman there and the following conversation ensured:
Funmi: Good evening sister please I am here to see Toheeb.
Strange woman: You are welcome o. But my husband did not inform me that we will be having a visitor, anyways come inside and wait for him.
Toheeb was surprised to meet Funmi when he got back. He felt unsaved in his own house so he took her to a guest house at the guest house, the following conversations ensured
Toheeb: Funmi that lady you saw at the house is my new bride she was married and sent to me by my parents from the village so as it stands now we have to put a stop to whatever we have going on.
Funmi: Ok Toheeb this is what I get from a three years relationship. Thank you very much for wasting my time.

Funmi continued thinking,she taught for a while then said I should have fought for my love Victor with Alhaji maybe he would have seen reasons with me that what matters in marriage is my happiness and not religious. There and then she made up her mind to go back to Victor her ex-boyfriend.
This time, she invited Sade her aunt and Alhaji's favorite sister to talk to Alhaji on her behalf. While talking to Funmi's father auntie Sade said Egbon mi(my brother) children of nowadays are not like children of our generation, the world is evolving and we need to evolve around it. People can be good or bad irrespective of their faith or believe. Please allow Funmi my niece to marry for love and not religious.
To her surprise Alhaji did not argue. Immediately after graduation Funmi and Victor got married and their wedding party was the talk of town for months. They lived happily ever after.
