Alora heared some people murmuring at the entrance of her house. She didn’t take it seriously until she heard them knocking on her door and boom, it was her friends.
She has three friends, Zara, Shade and Ewa that she moves around with all the time and all of these girls are also seeking admission into the University and whenever they all meet, they are always talking about how they will live their lives when they eventually gain admission into the University.
Out of all the girls, Alora is the one who anticipated the University lifestyle the most. All she has always wanted is to pierce her nose.
I don’t really care about the dress sense or what you all care about when you gain admission into the University. All I want to do is pierce my nose and truly, it is enough for me, Alora said to her friends.
*Hmm, I’m not saying you shouldn’t pierce you ears but it can be very painful and I want you to know that there is no rose without thorns, Zara said to Alora.
Even though her friends made her know how painful it may be and Alora isn’t someone who can endure pains, Alora still wanted that done and majorly because he parents promised her that she can do whatever she wants as far as she has gained admission into the University.
Alora made sure that she wrote all of her examinations and also pass them well. Finally, she became a newbie at the University and her friends were lucky as well to be admitted into the same University.
Immediately, they got into the school, they began to have the feeling of adults and did all what they planned to do when they gain admission into the University.
One Friday, after classes with one of the toughest lecturers in school, Doctor Yemi, which lasted for about three hours, Alora decided to go pierce her nose as she has always wanted for years.
Zara, would you like to follow me to go pierce my nose? Alora asked Zara but poor Zara shook her head because she was so tired and just wanted to go back to the hostel to have a good rest.
Alora took to the piercing shop and when she got to the entrance of the shop, she saw the shop’s motto just a little pinch.
Alora’s heart started to beat fast because the motto signified that she will feel pain even though it may be little. The poor girl went to the reception and made a payment for her nose piercing. She also went to check for different nose rings and chose the one she would like to use when they are done with the piercing.
It took her over ten minutes to choose the best one for her because they were all looking beautiful and she couldn’t decide on which one but was advised to choose one which will look good on her face.
The lady who pierces came to her where she was sitting. She held her spirit to clean the nose before and after piercing, the piercing gun and the nose ring she chose.
Even before the lady could touch Alora’s nose, Alora already screamed because she was very scared.
Calm down. I’d make sure you don’t feel much pain, the lady said that to distract Alora and while she was talking, she placed the piercing gun on Alora’s nose and pierced the nose. Alora shouted and cried like a baby.
I felt the piercing even in my brain, Alora said and the lady made sure she stopped crying.
Alora was badly in pain and couldn’t even stop by anywhere or even get what she may like to eat. She got home and her roommates were amazed by the piercing especially the nose ring design she chose because it’s very beautiful and shining.
Alora, I like this your nose ring. I hope the process wasn’t painful, Ewa said but Alora could not say a word. All she did was either nod or shake her head.
Ewa could tell that Alora was in pain and said, *sorry and I’m sure you’d feel good by tomorrow. I hope you now agree with me that there is no rose without thorns.
Finally, after two weeks, Alora’s nose was perfectly healed and she was able to rock the nose piercing however she liked. A lot of people complemented the beauty of the nose ring and how well it looks on her.
Whenever someone asks Alora how the nose piercing process go, Alora will look back to tell them that there is no rose without thorns.
