This was a real beauty of a post @treasuree -- I felt every word of this hang from your hands as you typed this with a heavy heart.

This is the true balance of life -- that which is in your power to help, and that which is not.

I feel this too, I felt this deep in the heart.

I was once a charity worker back in my old life, and I'd watch and see people just like this, and I'd want to give them everything I had -- but knowing they would neither learn from it, nor gain any experience from it, all I could do is give them my experience in any way I could.

I said this in a poem to @opidia the other day.

Some plants were never meant to survive, and that's okay. It doesn't make the garden any less beautiful!
