RE: Memorable Weekend With Mama: The Sudden Downpour, Going Home Wet Because of the Rain, and a Morning Snack with the Oldies

While I was reading your story, I never noticed that tears were suddenly falling from my eyes because I can picture myself and my mom in it. Reminiscing about our market visits, where every errand turned into precious moments just for us, and after that, before heading home, we would stop by this store that sells preloved goods, or we call it "ukay-ukay": from clothes, cookware, shoes, furniture, etc.! Though the memory brings sadness, I find comfort knowing she’s at peace.😌

What also caught my attention were the fish, this is our favorite. We call this "lambarok" or "budburon" and I love to cook this in "inun-unan" way.🤤

Aww, you have such a nice and warm memories with your Mom. Glad to know you created lots of memories with you Mom too ( ◜‿◝ )♡. And the Ukayan is the best place to visit. You can always find a good items in there.

Oh, it has different name in your place. We call it Galunggong or GG. And what's inun-unan? I think I heard that somewhere, I just forgot the meaning. Wl

Others call inun-unan as paksiw but when you're in Cebu cooking fish with vinegar, garlic, red pepper, and with sili espada, we call it inun-unan. Galunggong must be its national name 😅

@ruffatotmeee I forgot to thank you for the upvote. I'm so sorry, still on my way to explore peaked. Am I correct with the term? heheh
