Not so easy to say but I'm sure there will be ways. Governments could subsidize the education needed to get the skills to pick up jobs that AI can't do. There's things that can be done but they probably haven't been implemented yet because we aren't there yet ? I do know someone making an online platform for online education. Subscription based. It's like the air asia of e-learning. Anybody can learn at an affordable price. Only time will tell? I may be wrong these types of people you mentioned might get rekt. We do have a lot of homeless noawadays if that's the case i think we might just have more of those sadly x.x
Yeah and that is why there is fear that with my position and role I have at work, I do have a part in causing "harm" unintentionally.
Yeah it's been quite a struggle actually.
To automate processes, I need to first understand them by interviewing these people. While doing so, you can already sense the fear in them and their reservations in sharing the details because they too know that I am there to make changes that will ultimately to "take away" their jobs 😣
o.o no choice. company is to be efficient and make money leh $$$. If they want to stay they need to have the value ?
Yeah exactly but it is not as easy as it sounds.
Creating value when some of the employees are already nearing retirement age is not easy.
It is up to the company to see the value they bring in terms of work experiences.
oh if near retirement age usually cut off alr liao too expensive. most i see do grab driver after they get retired or laid off cuz near the retire age
Well depends on the company you work for ba.
As long as there is no grounds for the company to fire you, they should be "protected" near retirement age. Else no one will ever be getting the pension funding.
