Time truly flies when you’re raising a little human.
It feels like just yesterday when I held my daughter for the very first time—tiny fingers, soft cries, and eyes that could melt my heart in an instant. Now here I am, walking side by side with her, realizing she’s almost the same height as me. And guess what? She’s turning 11 next month! Eleven! Imagine that? I’m this close to having a full-blown teenager. Oh boy… I’m feeling all the feels!
To celebrate the little moments (before she outgrows these mama dates), we spent an entire day together at SM Seaside Cebu—just the two of us, laughing, playing, and making memories that I’ll tuck into my heart forever.
🎮 Arcade Adventures & Giggly Competitions
We started our day by diving into the arcade, where we both channeled our inner kids. From racing games to claw machines, we laughed till our cheeks hurt. Of course, she beat me in a few rounds—I’m convinced she’s been practicing behind my back!
🎳 Bowling Fun
Next stop: bowling alley! We switched from neon lights and game tokens to bowling shoes and cheering each other on. Whether it was a strike or a gutter ball, we high-fived like champions. I don’t even remember the score—just that look of joy on her face? Priceless.
📸 Photoshoot at Dear Self Studio
Because no weekend date is complete without capturing the magic, we booked a mini shoot at Dear Self Studio. The soft pastels, dreamy set-up, and unlimited poses made us feel like queens. I watched her strike poses and flash her signature smile—and I couldn’t help but think, she’s growing up so beautifully. Cue the mama tears.
🍬 Cotton Candy & Car Rides
After all the energy-burning fun, we grabbed some fluffy cotton candy—a sweet treat that made us both feel like kids again. Then came her favorite part: renting one of those adorable ride-on cars around the mall. She drove like a little diva while I followed behind her like her biggest fan (because duh, I am!).
A Day to Remember 💖
It was one of those days where time stood still—just us, our laughter, a little chaos, and a whole lot of love.
Sometimes I look at her and think, How did we get here so fast? I blinked, and she grew. But moments like this remind me that while time may be speeding up, it’s the memories we build that slow it all down, even just for a while.
So here’s to more weekend dates, more mama-daughter adventures, and holding onto every moment before I blink again and find myself sending her off to college. 😭
Mamas, hug your babies a little tighter today. Whether they’re still tiny or already talking back like teens, they’ll always be our babies.
