Hello my dear friends from Hivers, I have the pleasure of greeting you and sharing with you part of these last two weekends where I had a great time, because that is what life is about, having moments of time to go out, share, laugh, relax. and enjoy with others who are from our emotional and social circle.
For some time now I had a tremendous desire to eat fish, and a friend from home named Yolis spent a few weeks on vacation in Palmarito, here in Venezuela, a small fishing village located on the shores of our beloved Lake Maracaibo; It is a beautiful place with beaches, palm trees and a lot of seafood, I hope one day to be able to travel there and get to know this wonderful little town in our country that she feels so proud of and happy to talk about and share some photos full of nature and sunsets for Let him see how pretty he is. One of the things that she brought from there and that I do not hesitate to share with her closest friends is fish and mojito (grilled fish) to prepare something delicious to eat. So, she was not going to pass up her invitation and my brother Leo and I went to her house. The afternoon recipe was a delicious fish soup, added to mojito empanadas.
The afternoon passed very pleasantly between conversations among those of us who were present; Yes... The soup took a long time to heat up on the kitchen stove and we were all extremely hungry; It took a long time to wait since the pot was extremely large and the candle was not enough; Therefore, the option was to take some dry trunks from the trees that she has in her house and with some blocks make a kind of bonfire and there with the wood to set up the pot so that the long-awaited soup could finally be there, which in this way way it was ready instantly. Making the soup this way over a wood fire gives it a touch, a unique flavor; Since the wood, the almost smoky flavor and aroma that it manages to transfer to the food is special.
Once the soup was ready, it was served and we were able to enjoy the delicious empanadas, both dishes with preparations from the sea, truly delights to the palate! One of the things that my friend Yolis had little in her house were spoons to drink our soup, they were not enough for those of us who were present; Therefore, I did not hesitate to solve it quickly and take my soup to heart, straight from the cup and then use my hands to carefully remove the bones from the fish and eat it with pleasure.
My beloved friend Yolis is a very helpful lady; So, she even gave me soup to take away; which my little ones and my parents at home were able to enjoy.
To close that day, I spent the night with my girls for a while in the park that is right next to my house, where together with their mom they spent a night of fun and entertainment, full of lots of laughter. In addition, this has its benefits: they burn energy and when they get home they manage to sleep early and deeply.
On another weekend that I enjoyed and I want to share with you, there are some beautiful murals that I drew and painted myself for my older girl to take to school for Zulianidad week and another that someone liked my work done and they commissioned me one, earning a profit for painting it. While I was in the attitude of an artist at home, I enjoyed a good, very red coffee, drinking it in a "totuma", for those who do not know it, this is a vegetable vessel that we can obtain and make from the tapara that we obtain as the fruit of a tree called totumo or taparo and is original from central America.
On the other hand, there is the fact of going out on the weekend as a family to give thanks to God and attend First Fruits parties in the congregation in which we attend, presenting ourselves in gratitude and gratitude for the mercies that are renewed in our lives every tomorrow.
I close this content with a photograph next to those two little people who make every moment of my existence special and with whom I enjoy every weekend looking to do something different that makes our hearts happy.
