What is the model of the vehicle? Can the bumper be drilled (due to warranty)? Or should I buy you a built-in winch in the bumper? I will also need a picture of the bumper to see if it is nickel plated or painted, to get the same color, if we are changing it for a bumper with a built in winch. Which drive would you like? Do you want to be independent of the power supply and engine operation, so I can get you a manual transmission, or does your SUV have a hydraulic connection? Or would you prefer the electric one?
Do you have any accessories on the vehicle, since you will be towing a trailer with it, how heavy is it, so that I know exactly how heavy the whole set is so that I can choose a winch with the appropriate pulling force.
I'd take a winch with a synthetic reel, unless you want a traditional, steel one that can't be damaged on sharp rock edges?
I would get you a slower winch with a higher transmission ratio, if you ever tow a vehicle with a trailer, so that it goes smoothly...
You have chosen a nice gift, but just as the title says, a gift for a friend, we would have to be acquaintances/friends, to drink coffee together and for me to know you well in order to know exactly which of the above suits you 🙂
