It's another weekend to share beautiful memories before a new week of work starts 🤗. The prompt came from weekend experiences that as a kid do I ever wish I was an adult and if so, what age did you want to be and why? So I'm here to answer.
As a child/kid there are so many fantasies, even though we fail to realize that being a child is the best experience and level one would ever enjoy. There's no worrying about what to eat or how to get it, it comes to the table from your parents. There's no worrying about how to get a beautiful ball dress as a girl child because my parents would get it for me.
I want goodies, I want speedy biscuits since there was no cookies then, all I need to do is to ask or cry a bit and I'll be asked what I want (life of a child you know 😁).
Another mystery about being a child is, you will be forced to sleep and rest and to you as a child, it feels like a punishment but never did our minds tells us that we would want to have that sleep as adult but it may become hard.
As a child, I get sick so much that back then I know my parents would probably think I was a sickle cell child because checking of genotype wasn't too known then. One of my visits to the hospital for care, I was laid on a bed that is high to the floor and I was in so much pain. Unknowingly, I rolled and fell from the bed to the floor. The nurse came in but instead of her carrying me up and care for me, she shouted at me and use a ruler to hit my back and I cried more.
I didn't tell my mum when she came back but after I got well, I decided that I would become a doctor or a nurse when I grow up to take care of the sick kids and not allow anyone maltreat them.
Above all, then as a child, I would see some ladies and guys dressed and kit up in green khaki and green trousers, some would wear an encrypted white top taped at the neck and arm sleeve in green, and an orange boot, looking like a semi soldier but they aren't soldiers but NYSC Corpers (We mostly call them Youth Corper). I so much fell in love with the way they dressed and I was made to understand that only those who goes to tertiary institutions and become graduates are entitled to being a Youth corper and from that day I determined stronger to graduate and dress like one someday.
I won't say all these made me become a graduate today but my fantasies as a child stick to my head and helped me in some of my decisions as I grow up. Though, I couldn't become a doctor or a nurse at the end but I always try to be part of any initiative I see supporting the health of children.
I'll be dropping my 🖊️ here on the prompt from weekend experience community for week 265.
Thank you for reading through 🤗
