Body art on last Saturday.

Last Saturday I really wanted to go out, I was excited for go and buy in the stores some crystal glasses that I was missing in the kitchen, because in my house they have the sad tendency to die on anniversaries, meetings or simply unforeseen. So, that's what happened to mine until I was left with none, and Saturday was the perfect day to take a breath and check out some shelves at the hardware stores in the city.

It wasn't really planned at all, I just sent a "memo" to my dear husband via messenger the day before to let him know, and since he didn't seem to care much - I know him too well - I knew he was more excited than I was, because he doesn't really like going out to buy clothes, but he loves hardware stores, the bad thing is that he checks every little nail or nut he finds for about an hour, and it took us longer than expected to leave the place; me with a look of disgust at the delay, and him with a look on his face as if that time spent with objects was very necessary... a meeting of divergent feelings, because that's how couples are too, right?

Well, in short, Saturday went really well for me, I found my glasses, well actually two sets of glasses, and a set of very pretty and practical glass jugs, although I also craved two other white ceramic ones, special for drinking milk with coffee, yes...yes, I know, typical of women...we love consumption and waste, only when necessary!

It happened then that on my way back I came across a super interesting event in which I couldn't resist leaving my husband outside the place with all the packages on him...😂... -and the same impatient face with which I followed him when he was delighted with a polisher, a saw, or any iron that would be found in the stores-:)) Nothing more and nothing less than A convection on body art by young artists who are dedicated to making tattoos, and they were THERE doing them for FREE at anyone who entered the place...¡WOW!

I entered there and left my dearest husband "ruminating" so me wouldn't delay, but I had to be witness of this event...😇...

What caught my attention the most was the chosen place, a movie theater where I hadn't been for more than 15 years, and which today is used more for political, cultural events and graduations than for watching movies... but anyway... the lights and the atmosphere were spectacular.

The tables were arranged in circles and each artist had a person in their studio happily suffering the sound of the machine that uninterruptedly marked their skin with a needle full of black or colored ink... the young people felt excited and committed, with a joy very typical of those who enjoy displaying true works of art on their skin, or simply carrying a significant image for them for life.

My very personal opinion is that not everyone has the gift of mastering human skin, and drawing magically on the sinuous, fragile and shifting contours of the body to make fine lines, is only a magnificent miracle of some skillful and precise hands.

On many occasions I have thought about getting a tattoo, one that is unique and strongly sentimental... I have even woven designs with only three letters, then four... but my impulses have only gone so far.

The truth is that I love them, but... I have my doubts about whether I might end up regretting it later because my age does not allow me to show it off fresh and smooth on my skin. But the younger ones do not seem to be interested in that, much less worried, so flirtatious showing off their tattoos without complexes or doubts because what supposedly only hurts while it is being done now, tomorrow is exhibited as an object of triumph over their freedom to choose what to show on their body.

Obviously I felt a little anachronistic among them, not because of my age, but because the euphoria that both the artists and the tattoo lovers were feeling made their faces shine with happiness and fulfillment knowing that this was a space that the city gave them to publicize their work and so that those who wanted to have the opportunity to have a nice tattoo for free.

I was so surprised, but grateful to be able to enjoy the joy of this new generation that does very professional and high-quality work for their age.

At the end of Saturday I returned home happy and satisfied with my crystal glasses, my jugs, and the luck of having been able to participate in such a special event like this one about the new expressions of body art.

Always very grateful for your reading.

I love tattoos, especially if they mean something to the person. You could have a small tattoo, and if there's no regrets, just add to it. I'm old lol but I would still have another one.

Even I stop if I see an event like this, tattooing has always been a culture that has attracted a lot of attention, I like them but not the needles 😂, what a beautiful day you spent as well as those things that happen to you without expecting them. How nice to know you are well blessings 😊.

I've been running after that event, not only cause of the free part, but to get a tattoo like that, without any plan, in any place, to join my others tattoos, but I never get to know in time when and where it's gonna take Nice glasses by the way...😁😁

I don't have tattoos on my body, but, I have seen many tattoos that are true works of art.
I know a guy who does tattoos that has a quality in his work that is worthy of admiration.

In this publication I have seen many and all of excellent workmanship.
Happy weekend.
Cheers and greetings.

Excellent!
Thanks!
