20000 layoffs. Yo that's wild. Just like you said I think that's a big risk for the company and a huge strain on the manager.
But I can't help but be concerned about the people getting laid off. Because right now a country like mine even the space of a year can be too little to find a new job. I know of a family man that was laid off so suddenly from a company and people said the company should've notified him and give him time to find something to make a living of.
He stayed four years and couldn't get a job and right now I don't even know what his fate is.
But at least a chance of at least 6 months should still be given
