Most people look at a stock and think short term. This means looking at what is right in front of them. Analysts are notorious for this, completely dismissing aspects that do not affect the immediate term.

In this video I discuss how, when it comes to technology companies, this is a mistake. We have enough history to know that they keep missing because they simply will not believe what is happening.

How many books will Amazon sell this quarter? Not a relevant question at this point is it? What happened?

I guess that is the problem with investments. Some people are too careful. Some of them might still consider Tesla as just a car company. Some might not like how Tesla seems to be branching out to different fields. Others, might not like that his pay package was approved. Using Amazon as an example though, if Tesla can emulate that, then they can really grow exponentially if all their plans succeed.

It is a new era in investing, something many have not gotten accustomed to. Apple and Amazon were the first wave of companies that were one thing when something else was totally taking place.

In the past, companies were in sectors. That is no longer the case. Wall Street and analysts like to categorize them but that isnt the case anymore.
