This is a lesson for all technology companies. When looking at things, we tend to focus upon specific aspects instead of looking at the entirety.
In this video I discuss how the most recent announcements by both OpenAI and Google exemplify how we can miss a lot by simply focusing upon individual aspects of the situation.

It is really impressive how far along these AI have improved in such a short time. Google releasing their video a day after OpenAI makes me think that they were supposed to show it on their IO conference, but wasn't expecting OpenAI to post theirs. I agree that at this point, focusing on specific aspects isn't good anymore. Technology are more interconnected than ever.
Well OpenAI certainly jumped ahead of them. But it is amazing how the race is shaping up.
