Technological advancement tends to outpace human acceptance of it. We still see newspapers even though they were, for the most part, destroyed 25 years ago.

People tend to be slow to change. Basically, they have to die off. Cable news, for example, will be the same: the Boomers and first part of Gen X will have to die off to totally kill it.
