Elon Musk sent out an email stating that every test drive of a Tesla requires FAD to be demostrated.
In this video I discuss the potential implications and what it could mean for profit margins. The hardware cost is already in the vehicle so this is almost pure profit.

It's only pure profit if people are convinced to pay extra for it... and it'll slow down the delivery process, which means fewer people will get their vehicles when they expect to. I honestly don't know if this is a good idea or not and am very curious to see how it goes.

I think I also read somewhere that there will be free trial of the FAD for a week. This is a very good move to entice people to try it out and let them experience it. If it works out better than expected, then I expect Tesla to get an increase in subscription for it.
