This could be another viral moment for Tesla.

The automated self summon feature is rolling out. Actually, this is a re-release of the feature that first was shown a couple years ago.

In this video I discuss some of the limited video that we have seen and how this could be another moment where things go viral online.

That sounds cool. But I think it raises a ton of questions. I'm guessing it won't move when it is impeded in some way; like in a garage. Is there a max distance for it to be summoned? I wonder what would happen if it was accidentally summoned in a pay parking. Will it try to go, and will eventually stop at the payment gate and cause problems there? I believe Tesla cars still need a driver when driving, what if it encounters an accident while being summoned, who will be at fault?

There is good viral and bad viral though... given the state of the latest version of FSD, I think it's very likely we'll see some videos of Tesla's being summoned but crashing into something. Hopefully no one gets injured.

It looks like Tesla has been mapping out the area around WB Studios for their Cybercab demo Source & Source which I think is a wise move to avoid injuries... do you know if Tesla is intending to map entire cities for Cybercab like Waymo has? I haven't seen any info one way or another...
