The Tesla Semi targets the movement of cargo. To me, this is a much bigger market than the moving of people, especially since many people own their vehicles.
In this video I discuss why RoboTrucking is more exciting to me than robotaxis. While the latter gets all the attention, the former is where the money might be.

I've read that robotaxis will be delayed, but this is the first time I'm hearing of robotrucking. I guess it isn't that big of a leap since they're both vehicles using the same technology, and trucking might be easier to implement. I expect the start and destination to be more consistent, and the route to be easier.
They have to train the software on a different sized vehicle but that is nothing more than a run through a cycle (maybe two).
Some claim the Robotaxi day is delayed. No confirmation that I saw from Tesla. That doesnt mean the introduction of the platform is delayed, just the dog and pony show. It isnt really something that I thought was a major mover.
Companies do product days all the time. It is the daily execution.
