This is something that is becoming ever more important. Any aspect of AI, as it stands now, has to incorporate the concept of compute. Without that, one is not going to be a leader.

In this video I discuss how we are seeing Tesla increasing its compute at an incredible pace. Any company that is not doing this is not likely going to be involved in AI creation. That means they are going to have to pay for it.

I think the availability of the processors and the costs will deter a lot of companies from trying to join the AI race. Unless more companies are able to produce the processors, I don't see it changing soon. Tesla really wanting to join the fray is a bold move. They are able to get in early and have some processors, so it might work out for them. As for other companies, I think they will be looking to partner with or use the AI of established companies.
