Hello and Everyone
The weekend is the time when we can do multiple activities. This is the time when we want to spend some time with family or friends. Some people prefer to go outside for some family or friends time and sometimes people also prefer to watch some content on OTT or go to the theatre to watch movies etc. This weekend was good for me because Saturday was a busy day for me as I had some work to finish which I am happy that it is completed now.
Is it Sunday and this morning I watched a movie on Netflix. This is a movie that is not available in theatres anymore but now it is available on OTT so one can watch it at home. I have already discussed in one of the posts before where I tried to reduce my monthly expenses and now I have opted for a Netflix subscription. Netflix is a better option for content watching instead of going to the theatre a couple of times a month. Visiting the theatre for a movie is an expensive thing and I try to avoid it as much as I can.
I watched 'Dunki' Movie
The movie I watched today is called Dunki and this was released on 21 December 2023 so it's a new movie. These days we can see many new movies coming on OTT platforms just after a couple of weeks and sometimes a couple of months after the release. The movie is based on an illegal immigration technique called Dunki flight. I did not know that there was something like this and that people follow this practice to enter some countries. In this movie, they have shown how a group of people tried to enter England from India. This was a difficult journey and there is also risk involved for life because this is not the right way to go in any country. As per the historical data and available information, a lot of people try to follow illegal immigration techniques because they are not skilled enough to get an official visa. They try to do this because they want to go into the country and earn money but that is not the right approach and should not be done.
This is a Shah Rukh Khan starter movie and he is a very good actor in India. There are some co-actors also who have done a pretty good job in this movie and at no point you will feel like you are getting bored. This movie is based on Hindi language but some other language options are also available and they also have subtitles so anyone can watch it even if you are not a Hindi speaker.
Rajkumar Hirani Is the director for this movie and he is one of the fantastic directors in the industry. Every movie that he has directed so far is very good and I love the way he expressed their story. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and it is one of the movies that anyone can watch with family because there is no scene where you feel awkward. These days the type of movies released is not good to watch with family especially when kids are around but with Rajkumar Hirani films there is nothing to worry about. You can sit with your family and enjoy the entire show without worrying that there will be any scene or dialogue that might not be comfortable.
So overall I enjoyed the movie thoroughly and it was a fun time. Because I did watch on Netflix at home and I could put it on pause when I got a phone call and this is why I was able to watch the movie completely without missing any scene. It is available on 4K and the picture quality was ultimate.
