A lot of people are excited because of the different movies and shows they've seen. They want to have their real life Rosey. I agree that having one in a home is a bit far off. They have barely started testing them in factories with controlled environments. Not only will the cost still be too high, but the capabilities that they have are still very limited. That is why there is a big focus on AI training. I too am excited to have a home robot to help with the chores, but I don't know if I'll be alive to have one.
