I think dealing with insurance is too troublesome, which is why most auto companies don't offer it. The investigation alone is a tedious. But I think this is where the FSD and multiple cameras of Tesla or FSD capable cars come in. Since they have all these videos and real time statistics of the car, the investigation should be faster. I'm not saying Tesla should or would offer insurance, but I think they are positioned to be able to do a good job of it.
