A few years ago I would immediately agree with you. But with the rapid development of AI and how quick they are able to learn, I am not so sure anymore. Google has started going harder in AI, and they also have tons of streetview data that can be helpful for self driving cars. If they decide to share that to others, it can change a lot. That is why I think the winner is still up in the air. The one who can train the best defensive driving technology will be the winner. For now, Tesla still has a lot to work on.
